Yaqumo Speaks at the India-Japan Joint Economic Forum

– Highlighting the Importance of Japan-India Cooperation in Quantum Technologies at a High-Level Public-Private Forum Joined by Senior Business Leaders from Both Countries –
Yaqumo Inc. (“Yaqumo”) today announced that it spoke at the India-Japan Joint Economic Forum, held on July 2, 2026, at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, India.
The Forum was organized by JETRO and co-organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI), NEDO, Japan Business Federation, the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The event was also attended by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi of Japan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. With more than 150 Japanese companies and over 80 Indian companies participating, the Forum served as a high-level public-private platform bringing together leaders from government, business, and industry in both countries.
The Forum featured multiple panel discussions on themes including energy and critical minerals, economic security, innovation and human capital, and the Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
Yaqumo participated as a panelist in Session 2, “Economic Security, Innovation and Human Capital,” held from 16:25 to 16:55, where Kazuhiro Nakashoji, Representative Director & CEO of Yaqumo, took the stage.
The session brought together senior executives and experts from leading Japanese and Indian companies and business organizations, including FUJIFILM Corporation, Preferred Networks, Inc., FICCI Electronics Manufacturing Committee, and CII’s India@100 Council. The discussion covered topics such as semiconductors, advanced technologies, AI, supply chain resilience, and human capital development.
During the session, Nakashoji introduced the potential of quantum computers to become a critical technological foundation for economic security, industrial competitiveness, and next-generation innovation. He also highlighted Yaqumo’s Letter of Intent with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) as an important starting point for further strengthening collaboration with Indian research institutions and industry, and expressed Yaqumo’s intention to help translate Japan-India cooperation in quantum technologies into concrete initiatives.
